At Christian Heritage Montessori School we believe that children learn best in an environment in which each child is given the opportunity to excel at their own pace. We embrace the fact that each child has a unique learning style. From individual lessons and careful observation, a trained Montessori Educator gains knowledge of how each child learns and organizes the environment to meet each child's needs. We understand the importance of following the individual child's development. New material and work is created to meet each child's needs. The curriculum is individualized and designed to help children grow at their own pace, gain self-confidence, problem solve, develop physically and socially, and promote academic achievement.
We embrace the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori in our educational approach because we feel that all children deserve the best that education has to offer. Montessori is a personalized approach in which each child, respected as an individual, discovers the joy of learning. A totally prepared environment awaits the absorbent mind of the child. Each piece of material is designed to give the child a new experience and to develop a specific concept.
We are the area’s only Christian Montessori School. After working for years in a secular school environment, it is a pleasure to be able to embrace teachable moments to speak about God in the classroom and the freedom to pray with the children, teachers and parents.
